Want to catch and keep some different fish? Have you thought about fishing the gulf side, where the rules are different than the Atlantic side? Captain John Barber will be our guest speaker in September to discuss his experiences fishing the gulf.

Please join us September 17th at Mud Hole Tackle Center in Oviedo for an update on Gulf of Mexico fishing.

John is a licensed Coast Guard captain who has fished extensively in Florida offshore waters all his life. He caught his first Red Snapper on a party boat out of Ponce Inlet when he was 7. Over the years he has specialized in bottom fishing, and more recently deep dropping. John is a long time CFSA (fka CFOA) member and currently serves on the CFSA board of directors focusing on Marine Fishery management rules and how CFSA and other local fishing clubs can help to influence their direction.
