Boating & Waterways Program Coordinator, Brevard County Natural Resources Management

Matt Culver is the Boating & Waterways Program Coordinator for Brevard County and has been working as part of the Natural Resources Management Department team for over 15 years.  Matt works primarily as a waterways project manager, working with multiple entities to establish project priorities and partnerships, secure funding, and oversee projects through design, permitting and construction. Throughout his tenure with the Brevard County Matt has managed over $40 million dollars in waterway management and infrastructure projects and grant funds.  His present tasks include muck removal and maintenance dredging projects, derelict vessel removal, artificial reef construction, and working waterfront site management.  Matt is the staff liaison to the Brevard Marine Advisory Council and the District 2 Dredge Committee.  Matt holds BS degrees in both Conservation Biology and Oceanography from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MS degree in Coastal Zone Management from Florida Tech here in Melbourne. He is an avid fisherman and diver and enjoys getting outdoors with his family as much as possible.
